Hosted at Bentley Music Academy in Malaysia, and founded by TCX’s director, Kevin Field, The Conductor’s Circle (TCC) has been nurturing emerging talents since 2010.

Available as either a one to one, group online and or live, physical lesson, many TCC students have gone on to further their studies in Europe; some are music teachers and professional musicians, whilst others are simply keen to give it a try, as a hobby… it’s all provides for a wonderful learning environment!

You can join TCC as a participant or observer.

Offering a combination of heritage techniques from central Europe, members of TCC learn the art, craft and grammar of orchestral and choral conducting including advice regarding score study and preparation, essential skills for ensemble leadership and rehearsal methodology for school, community or professional orchestras, as well understanding the psychology of managing a large body of performers that ultimately integrates your preparation and directing

Regular features include workshops and webinars with international conductors from around the world.

Kevin Field and the TCC experience is also available for your orchestra, community, or educational institution.

What is the minimum age permitted?

16 and above, unless operating in an outreach scenario and hosted by a third party when specific age ranges will be announced.

Do I need to have had some experience conducting?

Some would be helpful, but not essential.

Other than conducting, what else does TCC cover?

TCC offers score study analysis, aural and theory training

Do I need to be an orchestral player or singer?

No, but it will help!

Do I need to bring my instrument?

Yes, for those attending live TCC

How does TCC work online?

As part of your registration you will be offered a free consultation at which you will receive free access to one session to observe how it all works.

How do I register and pay?

How much does it cost?

MYR440.00 per eight lessons, per 3 month term, plus MYR50.00 Registration Fee, plus one month returnable deposit of MYR220.00 T&C apply – of course!

Can I have one to one lessons on conducting?
